Capturing the beauty and magic of Minnesota’s most beautiful room, artist Sylvia Annelise will be live at Bouquets creating a custom, abstract painting inspired by the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory’s Sunken Garden. A renowned Midwest muralist with an eye for the natural world, Sylvia Annelise will work from the overlook of the Sunken Garden, using the Winter Flower Show for inspiration. Make the winning bid for this inspiring 2’ x 4’ acrylic on wood panel painting and you’ll make Bouquets a night you’ll never forget.

Flamboyant Fall by Elton G. Krafft

This vintage acrylic painting ‘Flamboyant Fall’ was created by Wisconsin artist, Elton Krafft (1914 – 2001). The bright colors will add life and energy to any room. Including the frame, the painting is 18.5 inches tall and 24 inches wide.

Conservatory Grown Air Plant

Whether you are an avid plant lover or want to dip your toe into the world of houseplants, this resilient and easy to care for Air Plant is perfect for you.  Grown in the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory, this plant measures around 12 inches long and will make an incredible addition to your home. Air Plants do not need soil to grow, simply soak or mist once a week and let them dry.

Amanda the Orangutan is a fan favorite at Como. She is an incredible ambassador for orangutans in the wild and often found amusing and entertaining Como guests with her silly antics.  Little known fact – Amanda is also an incredible painter! The winner of this package will get to take home a rare, framed painting by this iconic artist.

Whiskey Lover

Enjoy a bottle of Keeper’s Heart single malt whiskey from O’Shaughnessy Distilling Co., located in Minneapolis, with two locally made ceramic tumblers.  Keeper’s Heart is an Irish and American Whiskey that highlights notes of baking spices which pair beautifully with the American whiskey’s sweetness and lingering notes of charred oak.  You’ll enjoy the long and pleasant spiced caramel finish of this whiskey even more when consumed from these beautiful wheel-thrown tumblers.  Created by local potter, Peter Paul, in Saint Paul, Minnesota these cups are intended to make everyday moments special.

The 2016 ‘Winderlea Vineyard’ Pinot Noir from Adelsheim Vineyard exhibits aromas of molasses and caramelized sugar; a balance of rich sweetness with a firm texture and mouth-filling spice, blueberry, and other dark fruits. It would pair wonderfully with a variety of game and poultry dishes.

Redbreast 12 boasts the flavor complexity and distinctive qualities of Pot Still whiskey. Matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, the distinctive Redbreast sherry style is a joy to behold in each and every bottle.

Magnum of 2016 Adelsheim “Quarter Mile Vineyard” Pinot Noir

This magnum of 2016 ‘Quarter Mile Vineyard’ Pinot Noir by Adelsheim Vineyards shows an earthy nose full of chanterelle mushrooms and red cherries. The palate follows through with cherry fruit, adding hints of brown spice and vanilla. The silky tannic structure is elegant and smooth, suggesting wonderful aging potential.

Bidding opens on Monday, February 21 and concludes at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 24. If you are not at the in-person event, Auction pick-up will take place at Como Park Zoo & Conservatory on Saturday, February 26 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Auction winners will be emailed a link to sign up for a slot to pick up their items. If you are attending the in-person event you are welcome to pick up your items either at the event, or on Saturday at the drive up Auction pick up.

You must enter a credit card to bid (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover are accepted). Please be sure the credit card you have on file in your bidpal account is what you would like charged for your items and donations.

While you do not need to enter your credit card to view auction items online, you will need to enter a credit card to place a bid. Credit cards will be charged when the auction closes at 9:00 p.m.
