Como Park Zoo and Conservatory was founded in 1897 by visionaries and volunteers who saw the need for a great public green space where Minnesota families could come to reconnect with nature—and with each other.
A century later, there are few places like Como Park Zoo and Conservatory anywhere else. Owned by all, enjoyed by all, and free to all, Como is Minnesota’s most visited cultural institution, welcoming two million children and adults every year.
The Horace Cleveland Society is a major gift program committed to preserving Como’s long history and bright future. By making an unrestricted annual gift of $1,000 and above to Como Friends, you help Como thrive by investing in:
- Priority improvements at Como Park Zoo and Conservatory
- Daily education programs that are offered free of charge to every visitor
- Operations to help keep Como free and accessible 365 days a year
As a member of The Horace Cleveland Society, you’ll also enjoy access to special events at Como as well as benefits in appreciation for your gift.
