A Safe Space is Any Place That is Nurtured and Allowed to Grow

As we find new ways to be present and connect during this uncertain season, know that our mission is still to ensure that Como Park Zoo & Conservatory is a global leader in conservation, animal care and horticulture with barrier-free access for all.

The Como Friends’ offices and Como Park Zoo & Conservatory are temporarily closed in support of state-wide initiatives to limit exposure to the coronavirus. Though the zoo is closed, our dedicated zoo keepers are providing best in class care for the animals and our committed gardeners are keeping the gardens green and blooming.

The Como Friends team is working remotely to advance our work in support of Como so it has the needed resources when it reopens to the community and welcomes back Minnesotans to explore the wonders of the living world. All of us at Como Friends are grateful for your generosity that makes possible free access every day of the year so people from all walks of life can get up close to animals from around the world and wander beautiful gardens.

We are immensely grateful for your continued donations and support during this challenging time. Our commitment to the plants and animals that you love at Como Park Zoo & Conservatory is possible because of you.

Please continue to check in with us on Social Media, through our Como Promo e-newsletter, and here on our website for news and updates. Thank you for all you do to support Como Park Zoo & Conservatory, a beloved Minnesota tradition. Our best wishes to you and your family.
