Could your drawing, story or poem make you a Conservation Champ?
Monday, January, 25 – Wednesday, February 10
We are excited to share the First and Second Place winners of the Kid Conservation Champs contest sponsored by our partners at Xcel Energy! Lucy’s painting of a Loggerhead sea turtle was chosen by Como Park Zoo and Conservatory Conservation Champions from a plethora of wonderful and creative entries as the First Place winner, and Elliott’s creative essay and painting of Coral is the Second Place winner!
At Como Park Zoo and Conservatory, our Conservation Champions travel the globe to help protect wildlife far and wide, bringing conservation lessons back to share with our visitors. But you don’t need to leave home to help protect the animals and plants you love. Taking small steps to save energy can make a big difference for the environment we all depend on.
Thank you to all of our contest participants and our conservation partners Xcel Energy!
