As a cherished tradition, Como remains admission free for all thanks to you.

Como Park Zoo & Conservatory is a constant presence in our community that is home to generations of memories. These memories are the reason Como visitors and supporters like you choose to generously show support for Como’s amazing animals and breathtaking gardens.

As home to hundreds of animal species and many iconic gardens, Como Park Zoo & Conservatory invites visitors to experience the connections between animals, plants, and people. These connections strengthen our appreciation for the natural world and bring us together from all corners of our community.

Supporters like you ensure free access to Como Park Zoo & Conservatory’s natural wonders. Your donation allows future generations the opportunity to attend a Sparky the Sea Lion Show at Como Zoo or admire the majestic Sunken Garden in the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory.

This year, your contribution to Como Friends, the nonprofit partner to Como Park Zoo & Conservatory, will provide:

Specialized care for all of Como Zoo’s beloved animals and weekly health checks through a partnership with the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Every day, zookeepers continue the essential work of caring for the animals at Como with daily enrichment and animal training programs.

The launch of the virtual 2nd Grade Field Trip Program. In years prior, St. Paul Public Schools’ second graders were invited to Como for a free field trip to learn from the plants and animals. This year, students are experiencing Como through virtual segments that feature animal ambassadors, zookeepers, gardeners, and educators that connect students to the animals and plants in fun and interactive lessons.

The preservation of the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory’s gardens. Como’s expert horticulturists keep the Sunken Garden blooming all year long and care for the world-class Bonsai and orchid collections with specialized equipment and skill.

Free and inclusive education opportunities with a focus on conservation. Programs like Sensory-Friendly Mornings and Senior Strolls make Como Park Zoo & Conservatory a welcoming place for all. The addition of a conservation corner in the Aquatic Animals building will model environmental stewardship and highlight Como’s conservation efforts for visitors.

Thank you for caring for the plants, animals and people who connect here at Como.
