ScooterPals Rules & Regulations
Scooter Pals offer a unique and fun way to get around the Zoo. Stop by the Gift Shop, located in the Visitor Center, to rent your favorite Scooter Pal.
Rules and Regulations
- Driver must be at least 16 years of age.
- Two riders are allowed when following rider guidelines of two adults (16 or older) or one adult and two children. All riders must be more than 36 inches in height.
- Combined rider weight not to exceed 450 lbs.
- Any persons operating ECV rentals shall thoroughly review all safety instructions.
- Equipment shall be returned to return location unless arrangements have been made directly with Garden Safari Gifts Management Staff.
- ScooterPals are first come, first serve
- A $5 initial fee to start the ride and then $.35 per minute until ride is ended at returned location.
- A $35 temporary credit pre-authorization will be placed with the reservation. The temporary hold is the amount we authorized to ensure there are funds to complete your purchase.

Wheelchairs & electric scooters can be rented in Garden Safari Gifts. Per day, wheelchairs rent for $10.00 and electric scooters rent for $30.00. A valid ID is required as collateral. All rentals must be returned to Garden Safari Gifts before the Zoo and Conservatory close. Wheelchairs and electric scooters may not be reserved ahead of time.

All returns require the original receipt. Credit card purchases will be credited to the original card used. A merchandise credit, valid for one year, will be issued for all cash purchases.
