Give to the Max for Como Park Zoo & Conservatory!

Support the free admission Minnesota families depend on at Como Park Zoo & Conservatory

Annie Johnson and her kids Ofelia, Desmond, and Lovell came to Como to meet up with their cousins, and to explore one of their favorite corners, The Exedra overlooking the Frog Pond.

“Growing up in Como Park, I have fond memories of how Como used to be, but it’s been really fun to see how it’s evolved, with animal exhibits that have been drastically improved. It’s a wonderful treasure for everyone, enriching and beautiful, with high quality experiences that are very accessible. I’m really proud to have this.”

For more than a century, young families like Annie’s have come to Como Park Zoo & Conservatory to connect with nature and with each other. Open every day of the year, and free to every visitor, Como’s wide welcome makes it easy for Minnesota families to access and afford extraordinary experiences—from meeting a gorilla for the very first time, to seeing a penguin paddle its feet, to feeding a 17-foot-tall giraffe.

On Give to the Max Day, your support can help Como’s nearly two million annual visitors to experience  exceptional education programs, glorious public gardens, and stirring face-to-face encounters with the extraordinary animals in our care. Thanks to a $47,650 challenge match from longtime community supporters Sandy and Dean and Como Friends’ Board of Directors, every gift you make every gift you make goes further to protect the free admission Como’s community depends on, teaching the next generation about the beauty and wonder of life on earth, and what we can each do to protect it.

“Free admission makes Como really flexible for us. If you have to make a big trip and pay a lot of money, it would be devastating if you have to go home early. But here you can have a short visit, and know that you can come back every day of the year, too.”
