Join us for a before-hours encounter with some of Como Zoo’s most iconic animals.
Como Zoo is home to a variety of African grassland animals, including visitor favorites, the reticulated giraffes, and their African grassland neighbors, the Grant’s zebra. And these longtime residents are getting to know a few of Como Zoo’s newest arrivals—Stanley and Stevie, a spectacular lowland nyala pair, and Houdini and Mutambi, our majestic crowned cranes.
Como Friends members and donors are invited to join us from 9:00 am – 10:00 am on Saturday, August 26, 2023, for this Special Access Event for Como Friends’ Supporters.
Join us for a morning spent getting to know Como Zoo’s African grassland animals. You’ll hear from expert zookeepers about the day-to-day care of Como’s African grassland animals, the specialized medical care they receive, and the Conservation Champions projects that take zookeepers around the world to participate in field work with animals in the wild.
