When Mutambi the gray-crowned crane injured her wing after a an accidental collision with a zebra, she received immediate care from Como Zoo’s on-site veterinary team. An x-ray machine provided by Como Friends helped her care team diagnose the problem right away, returning her to the comfort of her African habitat within hours. Now fully healed, she’s part of a critical breeding plan to help preserve this endangered species.
