Special Access Event

Cool Cats and Canines

Special Access events at Como Park Zoo & Conservatory are our way of saying thank you for supporting Como Friends.

Cool Cats and Canines | Saturday, May 18, 2024 | 9:00 AM–10:00 AM

Como Zoo’s Large Cats Building and Wolf Woods are home to animals from around the globe—from solitary predators that live in mountainous terrain to pack hunters that thrive on the plains. Join us for an early-access event to learn all about the habits and habitats that make these fascinating animals so intriguing.

Como Friends members and donors are invited to join us from 9:00 am–10:00 am on Saturday, May 18, 2024, for this Special Access Event for Como Friends Supporters.

Join us for a morning spent getting to know Como Zoo’s four species of large cats—lions, tigers, snow leopards, and cougars—and our two Great Plains wolves. You’ll hear from expert zookeepers and educators about:

  • diverse characteristics of Como’s large cat and wolf species
  • specialized care provided to cats with visual impairments like Jasper the cougar and Willow the snow leopard
  • Conservation Champions projects that take zookeepers around the world to participate in field work with animals in the wild
  • Como’s vision for an updated large cats and wolves habitat
