Free admission and access: Como is one of the country’s last completely free metro zoos and botanical gardens, a commitment to access made possible by Como Friends’ generous supporters. With your help, Como can keep the doors of opportunity open every day with free admission, family-friendly education programs, school group and summer camp scholarships, and campus accommodations that make everyone feel welcome.
Conservation inspiration: From the Nature Walk teens who make conservation cool, to public school partnerships that invite St. Paul’s second and fourth graders to discover Como, your support helps to inspire nearly 800,000 school age visitors with the wonders of nature, while teaching them the responsibilities of environmental stewardship.
Growing gardens: With an expanding emphasis on pollinator-friendly plantings, sustainable low-water landscapes, and native plants and flowers, the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory’s talented team of horticulturists are teaching Minnesota’s home gardeners how to make all of our landscapes a little greener.
